One of the questions I get the most often about Human Design when I sit down for a session with a first-time client is: “What do the arrows mean?” There’s not a lot of education about the arrows (otherwise known as “Variable” in Human Design lingo) out there, so this post is here to answer that question as straightforward as possible: Variable tells you about whether you’re more “left-brained” and “masculine,” or whether you’re more “right-brained” and “feminine” in terms of how you exist in, process, and experience the world. Again, masculine/feminine doesn’t refer to physical gender; it’s more about the duality of the universe – push and pull, give and receive, hustle and flow.
